Tong Dingyi is a postdoctoral fellow graduated from Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

　　After graduation, Tong attempt to apply his design skills to scientific and technological pictures, and created more than 700 covers and pictures for authoritative academic journals, such as Science, Nature Catal., Angew, JACS.

　　These cover are all in Chinese style. Among them, "Journey to the West" and "Knowing or Not" themed works were also selected into the Chinese Commemorative Calendar published by the editorial department of the Royal Society of Chemistry, RSC.

　　"To be honest, I am just a 'translator' in the group of scientific and technological workers, translating papers into pictures,” said Tong, “The words in academic papers is complex and need time to read and understand. Through pictures, the main points of the paper can be directly and quickly presented ." Tong Dingyi said.
