Right now is the season when waxberry is ripe for picking. In the waxberry planting base of Yimei Family Farm in Hengxi Town, farmers are busy picking waxberry and making it "preemptively" sold in the market.

　　On the waxberry mountain, what catches the eye is a series of lush greenery, and strings of tempting red waxberry hanging on the branches, spreading a sweet smell.

　　Waxberry in Hengxi is mainly planted in the two picking bases of Da'ao village and Shangjie village. At present, more than 494 acres of waxberry in Hengxi town is gradually in the picking period, attracting many citizens to pick. This weekend, Hengxi Town will also hold a waxberry festival by the Jin’e (Golden Goose) Lake.

　　In addition, this week, a large number of waxberry from Yuyao and Cixi will be on the market, and the overall price of waxberry is expected to drop significantly to the range of 20-40 yuan per kilogram.
