　　Air travel between Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province to Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture in Southwest China's Sichuan province became much easier after a new direct flight opened on Oct 31.

　　This is the first year that Ningbo has been involved in the east-west poverty relief program with Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture. To promote smooth economic circulation and communication between the two places, a direct flight between Ningbo and Xichang, capital of Liangshan, was launched.

　　The flight, operated by Zhejiang Loongair, will depart Ningbo in the morning every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

　　According to the department of culture and tourism of Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture, Zhejiang residents will be able to receive free tickets to 48 A-level scenic spots in Liangshan from Oct 31 to Nov 1, 2026.

　　Three travel routes connecting famous attractions in Liangshan, such as Qionghai Lake, Huili county and Luoji Mountain, were also launched specifically for Zhejiang residents.

　　"Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture is home to unique natural resources and ethnic culture," an official of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism said, "Ningbo will further develop cooperation on culture and tourism with Liangshan by mobilizing its ten districts, counties and county-level cities."

　　The direct flight also makes it more convenient for residents in Liangshan to experience the charming maritime silk road culture of Ningbo.

　　Li Xiaobing, general manager of Liangshan Culture and Tourism Group, noted, "deeper cooperation can be enhanced between Ningbo and Liangshan at major events, such as the Ningbo Cultural Industries Fair and Daliangshan International Theater Festival."
