In the first quarter of the year, the enterprises invested with foreign investment dropped by 63%, but, the total investment, registered capitals and amount of foreign investment paid by foreign enterprises increased by 79%, 266% and 19% respectively. Ningbo Bureau of Industry and Commerce said registered capitals of new enterprises settled in the first quarter was up rapidly,which symbolized that Ningbo had improved the application of foreign investment and economy of foreign investment had ben upgraded to quality and benifits.

　　In the first quarter, new registered enterprises with foreign investment was 73,including 13 of joint ventures, 59 of wholly foreign-owned enterprise, 1 of share-holding enterprise of China and Foreign country. Total investment reached 1.7 US $ billion, registered capitals of US $ 15.5 billion and US $ 280 milion paid by foreign investors.
