On Nov. 27, Ningbo and Quzhou signed 11 new cooperation projects, among which, a polycrystalline silicon project of Zhejiang Zhongning Silicon Industrial Co., Ltd. become so far the biggest cooperation project between coastal and mountain areas in Zhejiang, totaling investment of 4 billion yuan. The polycrystalline silicon project is jointly invested by Ningbo Electronic Information Industry Group, Ningbo Solar Power Co., Ltd. and Jiangxing Jiajing Electronics Co., Ltd. Quzhou is one of the most important bases for chemical industry of fluorine and silicon. At the same time, Ningbo enterprises master the core technology of manufacturing polycrystalline silicon. The construction period of the cooperation project is two years, after its completion, it can produce more than 4500 tons of polycrystalline silicon every year. It is a big step taken by Ningbo enterprises to break the bottleneck of insufficient supply of raw materials and elevate the local solar energy industry to a higher level. In addition to the polycrystalline silicon project, the two cities also signed 10 projects with contracted investment of 1.896 billion yuan. So far, there are total 74 cooperation projects in resources and industries between Ningbo and Quzhou. The contracted investment from Ningbo side amounted to over 10 billion yuan.
