Cixi Household Appliance Expo yesterday opened. Over 5000 people including government officials,and merchants home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.

Household appliance industry is the mainstay industry in Cixi City. In the past 20 years, Cixi has established a huge industrial chain of household appliances, with about 2,000 enterprises, about 10,000 enterprises for accessories, and its production covering 20 series including drinking water machine, heaters, electric fans, washing machines, and range hoods.

The expo consists of exhibition, forums, talent invitation and so on. It has over 800 stalls, exhibiting over 1,000 products of over 100 categories.

In the signing ceremony yesterday, 31 projects were signed, and the contract foreign capital amounts to 336 million US dollars.Yesterday, Cixi City was entitled "China Household Appliance Purchasing Base" by China Household Appliance Association.
